Well, well, well. An IPL-linked team just bought a Pakistani spinner. I guess the shadow ban report was nothing but a rumour. 

The former South African captain doesn't find any bidders.

James Cole goes to London Spirit for £390,000


As expected, an all-rounder goes for the big bucks and nearly breaks the 400,000 barrier. 

Trent Boult goes to MI London for £100,000

After IPL, MI get hold of Boult in The Hundred as well

With a cap on foreign players and Usman Tariq already bagged, no bids for them.

Usman Tariq goes to Birmingham Phoenix for £140,000

Well, the conspiracy about the shadow ban on Pakistani cricketers has been proven wrong.

First Afghanistani player in the auction doesn't find a bidder.

Sonny Baker goes to Manchester Super Giants for £95,000

Another Kiwi goes unsold.

Zak Crawley goes to SunRisers Leeds for £180,000

The bidding started at £30,000 and Crawley ended up getting 6x of the original price.

Finn Allen goes to Trent Rockets for £160,000

One of the most in-form batters in the world doesn't get many suitors. He gets the same amount as Jonny Bairstow.

The teams have stepped aside for a short while. The marquee list is done. Now we'll move to Tier 1 players.

Finn Allen, Ryan Rickelton, Tim Seifert, Zak Crawley, Josh Tongue, Luke Wood, Sonny Baker, Saqib Mahmood are the players who'll go next.

The Pakistani shadow ban rumour remains alive as Haris Rauf goes unsold. He might return for later rounds.

Daryl Mitchell, with a base price of £75,000, goes unsold

James Vince, who's the 2nd highest scorer in The Hundred, goes to MI London for £190,000

Jordan Cox goes to Welsh Fire for £300,000

Another tussle between between Leeds and Brave, this time SunRisers emerge on top. But Welsh Fire jump in from nowhere and scoop him away. 

Adil Rashid goes to Southern Brave for £250,000

SunRisers Leeds went hard but eventually pull out.

Joe Root goes to Welsh Fire for £240,000

Manchester Super Giants & SunRisers Leeds were interested but it's Welsh Fire who get him. 

We are underway. The franchises will be in action in a short while.

Shaheeh Afridi has withdrawn from the auction. Other big names are Sunil Narine, Quinton de Kock and Allah Ghazanfar. The reason for the withdrawls aren't known right now.

The franchises have a budget of €2.05 million, seeing a rise by 45% from last year as they look to complete a squad comprising 14-16 players. The teams have so far used £950,000 of their purse in the pre-auction signings, leaving them with only £1.1 million going into the auction.

The auction will be divided into 3 phases. First the 'Hero Players' will come up, which will be the top 50 most nominated players by the franchises.

Then the 'Ranked Players', which will be 50 players who either missed in the first phase or were the next most wanted players.

The last one will be 'Nominated players. ' There won't be any fixed number here. The teams who'll need to fill up the squads will nominate players. This will be the last chance to get a bid.

The Hundred 2026 player auction will be streamed on The Hundred’s YouTube channel across the world, including India.
