Former India skipper Virat Kohli has been troubled with poor form off late. With Kohli desperate to score big runs from his bat, quite a few players have stood beside Kohli in his time of distress. Earlier Pakistan skipper Babar Azam too showed his support for Kohli.
“I will be praying for you so that you can return to form at the earliest. We want to see you at the very best,” said Shaheen after the initial greetings between the two players were exchanged.
The Indian squad along with Kohli were en route to their training when Kohli spotted Shaheen Afridi on the passage and the duo met and exchanged pleasantries with one another. Virat asked Shaheen about his injury to which the young Pakistani pacer informed him that he has a knee injury that would keep him out till the World Cup.

The above conversation between the two players showcases that despite being arch rivals on the field, the cricketers have a strong mutual respect for one another. India will kick start its Asia Cup 2022 campaign against Pakistan on 28th August in what appears to be the biggest game of the tournament.
The Men in Blue who are the defending champions of the tournament will eye to take revenge on their rivals after the humiliating loss at the T20 World Cup last year. For Pakistan, Shaheen Afridi has been ruled out owing to a knee injury while India pacer Jasprit Bumrah is also missing the competition.
