WWE Smackdown- John Cena vs Roman Reigns: For those who think Roman Reigns is at the top of Mount Rushmore, they might have to rethink after John Cena’s lit promo on tonight’s WWE Smackdown. Cena crushed Roman’s ego and brutally roasted him by letting him know that he is nothing but a failed byproduct of WWE who is getting push after push for the last ten years and yet remains a big failure.

After going back and forth for a couple of weeks, Cena and Reigns finally had the much-anticipated face-off tonight at BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During the segment, John Cena dropped quite a reference involving CM Punk and also blamed Roman Reigns for sending Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley in AEW) out of WWE.

WWE Smackdown: It seems like CM Punk is still Money for WWE
CM Punk chants are obvious among the WWE Universe every now and then. However, it was John Cena tonight who mentioned his former foe in the epic promo. Cena referred to the 2011 MITB showdown between him and CM Punk when Punk left the company after winning the WWE title from Cena at the Money in the Bank PPV event.
“You are gonna show up all full of yourself like you normally do and put on a hell of a show. I’m just gonna hang in there for 1,2,3. And then I am gonna take your title, I’m gonna jump the barricade, and I’m gonna run out of Allegiant Stadium as fast as I can. I may even blow you a kiss goodbye.”

CM Punk had his issues with WWE in 2011, and the storyline of the MITB WWE Championship match was apt for Punk to leave the company with his head held high. The bout saw CM Punk bidding adieu to the company as WWE Champion after he pinned Cena with the GTS and blew a kiss at Vince McMahon before exiting through the crowd.

John Cena kept on criticizing Roman Reigns and revealed the fact that he has been overprotected in WWE. Main eventing Wrestlemania 5 times in just ten years is a silly thought, and this was possible only because Roman Reigns has been protected enough.

Cena mentioned how The Shield has always had Roman’s back in the initial phase of his career, and now The Usos are lagging behind him. Cena was unstoppable and further blamed Roman for the ouster of Dean Ambrose from the company,
“You haven’t been embarrassed you have been protected. Pretty face with giant bars of soap you got for teeth. You have been protected, Roman. You’ve been protected by The Shield. Hell, you almost ruined Seth Rollins. You ran Dean Ambrose out of WWE.”
After this promo, John Cena has literally exposed the so-called Head of the Table. It is high time that we should get over Roman’s narcissist reign as the Universal Champion because John Cena needs only 1,2,3 to become a record 17-time World Champion at WWE Summerslam PPV.
