India after expressing its desire to host the 2032 Olympics is now interested to host the 2036 Olympics in Ahmedabad. Previously Gujarat’s Advocate General Kamal Trivedi told the Gujarat High Court that “we are preparing for the Olympics of 2036” and that the “Olympic Committee will visit in 2025”.
Russia’s Sports minister Oleg Matytsin said, “If such a dream as hosting the Olympic Games comes true, then this will be another criterion for the stable development of the country. We are always open to interaction and ready to share our experience of hosting the Olympic Games, and we have done this many times, so if a decision is made, then Russian specialists will be happy to help in organising the Olympic Games in India.”

The Russian state media have also reported that Matytsin will propose a football-friendly match between the two nations if India is interested. The Russian football team is ranked 35 in the world while India is ranked lowly at 104.
The host city for the 2036 Olympics will be selected by Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, the head of the IOC commission. It has been reported that the hist city is likely to be selected between 2025 to 2029. Previously Russia was interested to host the Olympics, but after being outcasted by all sporting communities, Russia is eager to help India.
India has previously expressed their desire and will to host the 2024 and 2032 Olympics. Having failed on both occasions, India now will be happy to bid for the 2036 Olympics.
