OG Esports Unveiled their Valorant Roster for 2022: OG Esports unveiled their VALORANT roster for 2022 on Thursday. In contrast to the team’s previous all-international lineups, the five-person lineup is all French. Théo “OniBy” Tarlier (who last played for the team in March 2021), Benjamin “uNKOE” Chevasson (the only player to remain with the team after OG signed with the free agent team Monkey Business in February 2021), and newcomers Joey “fxy0” Schlosser, Mathieu “LaAw” Plantin, and Elian “MateliaN” Romagnoli round out the roster.

Before these recent additions, OG had gone through two previous roster updates, the most recent of which was revealed two months ago. The corporation has also been chastised for questionable signing methods for its VALORANT squad.

OG’s 2021 VALORANT team had a minor amount of success throughout the year. Their finest performance came in the Stage One Challengers qualifiers, where they placed eighth. As a result, former Overwatch pro uNKOE, who will be the captain of OG’s VALORANT squad, is the only player from 2021 that OG has kept. Since February 2021, when OG bought the Monkey Business lineup, UNKOE has been a part of the company. Now that uNKOE is the sole player left, he’ll try to lead the new all-French lineup to greater success in 2022.

Since Stage 1, when the team competed in Challengers 1 as Monkey Business and Challengers 2 and 3 as an officially signed squad, OG Esports has not seen VCT main event action. The team was eliminated from Masters 1 contention at Challengers 2 and 3 after losing in the closed qualifier stage to both Team Heretics and Raise Your Edge (now Acend). Since then, OG VALORANT has faded from the European VALORANT environment, finishing last in open qualifier after open qualifier for VCT tournaments and refusing to compete in third-party events outside of the main circuit.
