The Esports World Cup aka EWC 2025, set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 7th to August 24th, 2025. The event featured a record-breaking total prize pool exceeding $70 million USD. This is a significant increase from the $60 million offered at the inaugural event in 2024, solidifying the EWC as one of the most prestigious and high-stakes esports events globally. The prize money will be distributed across various categories:
- Club Championship: A total of $27 million will be awarded to the top 16 esports clubs based on their overall performance across multiple tournaments. The winning club will receive $7 million. This unique format rewards consistent excellence across different game titles.
- Game Championships: Over $38 million will be allocated to the individual tournaments for the 25 featured games. Each game will have its own dedicated prize pool.
- MVP Awards: A pool of $450,000 will recognize outstanding individual players across all competitions.
- Road to EWC Qualifiers: More than $5 million will be awarded through various qualifying events, providing pathways for emerging talent to reach the main event.
