During his conversation with Helwani, McGregor was asked if he would vie for the title against the victor of the Usman versus Edwards match if he were to succeed against Chandler. The fighter responded in affirmative, leaving no doubt about his ambition to claim the welterweight title. In his words, “Yeah, I’d like [a welterweight title shot]. I may be present for the card…So I would like that.”
