Ind vs Aus: WTC Final 2023: Australia’s Test skipper Pat Cummins has said that his side is more “experienced” in winning big games and finals in ICC tournaments than Team India. Addressing the media on the eve of the World Test Championship (WTC) Final, Cummins was asked if Australia team will have an added advantage over India, considering the Men in Blue haven’t been able to win a global tournament for 10 years.
The Aussie captain said that many members of the current team have the experience of playing in big finals and winning it.
“One thing about playing lots of cricket is you get experience in pressure moments and finals, you know, there’s no higher pressure situation. So again, that’s one of the benefits of having an experienced side. We’ve seen it all before. We’ve been in these moments and, have taken the confidence to know that no matter what happens, you’re going to be okay on the other side of it and just take the game on, enjoy it and yeah, I think that’s what you’ll see from our group this week”, Cummins said.

Cummins also backed pacer Scott Boland to have a significant impact in the game and said that the conditions will “suit” him.
“These conditions just seem to suit him. He hasn’t played a lot over here, but a seam bowler who will be rewarded for just bowling in the good areas over and over again. That’s what he brings to the team. He’s been fantastic. Even in India, he played the first Test match there on a pretty docile wicket and still did a fantastic job”, the Aussie skipper said.
The WTC Final will begin on Wednesday at The Oval, London.
