Judoka Tulika Maan secures Paris 2024 Olympics spot, set to compete in +78 kg category

Earlier this year, Maan defeated Asian champion and Olympic gold favourite Kim Hayun in the Asian Judo Championships quarterfinals

Judoka Tulika Maan has clinched a spot in the Paris Olympics 2024, which is set to begin in July. She secured her berth through the continental quota system. Set to compete in the +78 kg category, this will be Maan’s first-ever Olympic participation.

For those unfamiliar with the intricacies of Olympic qualification, securing a spot through the continental quota is no small feat. The continental quota is awarded to the judoka with the most points across both genders on the continental ranking list.
