The Valorant esports community was rocked on May 17th, 2025, when severe accusations were made against the popular Game Changers player Ava “florescent” Eugene. She faced several accusations on the platform X (Twitter), claiming sexual assault and manipulation during a meeting in Canada.
The accusations were made up of written testimony and screenshot evidence. The accusations spread quickly across the platform and the broader community on Reddit. Finally, Riot Games has concluded the florescent investigation, and we have the update.
Riot Games Clears VALORANT Pro florescent After Misconduct Investigation
This florescent situation was further fueled by a statement from former teammates of Shopify Rebellion Gold. The teammates stated that they were “horrified” by the information that they had seen. Although this did not prove that there was any wrongdoing, it was important as it brought more visibility to the situation.
In reaction to this, florescent denied the situation. She stated that the relationship was “mutually toxic,” that the accusations are false, and that she was seeking legal advice.
Riot Games eventually stepped in, opening a formal review under their Esports Global Code of Conduct. Ultimately, Riot released a procedural update stating. This is as follows:
Riot Games has completed a formal review of Ava “florescent” Eugene in accordance with the standards outlined in the Esports Global Code of Conduct. All concerns related to the Global Code of Conduct are taken seriously and carefully reviewed. This was a personal matter and no sufficient evidence was found to determine that a violation of the Global Code of Conduct occurred.
In conclusion, no competitive penalties will be issued and Ava “florescent” Eugene remains eligible to compete in Riot-sanctioned events. If new material information emerges, this matter may be revisited.
