Pena pulled of one of the biggest upsets in recent history when she defeated Amanda Nunes in their first bout back in December 2021. Going into the fight, she was a considerable underdog but she managed to rise against the odds.

Now, the two are set to face each other again this weekend and Julianna Pena is as confident as ever to get the job done yet again. During a recent pre-fight press-conference, Pena was asked to give her prediction on how the fight would play out, she said:
“I’m going to punch, kick, pull her hair, I’m going to bite her, I’m going to gouge her eyeballs out if I have to. I’m literally gonna do everything in there. Trust me when I say I am ready and willing to die, whatever it takes. I am gonna do whatever it takes.”
It’s safe to say that getting a win over Amanda Nunes has boasted her confidence in a major way and rightfully so. Nunes is considered to be one of the greatest fighters ever to step foot inside the octagon.

Because of the same reason, Amanda Nunes is the favorite yet again going into their rematch. While odds don’t tell the complete story as we saw in their first match, the Brazilian will certainly want to get her title back by any means. On the flipside, Pena is content to beat her again and to further solidify her claim of being better than her counterpart.
