Cristiano Ronaldo and Co started the game positively as they aimed to grab early goals. However, the Portuguese side had to wait half an hour to grab their opening goal. Manchester United full-back grabbed the first goal of the game. Dalot started the move and was at the right place at the right time to give Portugal a much-deserved lead. The Manchester United full-back scored the first International goal of his career.
Despite more attempts to score, Bruno Fernandes doubled Portugal’s lead right before the end of the first half. The Manchester United attacking midfielder found space and tapped in an easy opportunity to grab the second goal for his side. Moments later, Czech got a lovely opportunity to reduce the deficit.

Straight from a corner, the ball hit Cristiano Ronaldo’s arm which was placed in an unnatural position. After a lengthy VAR check, Czech was awarded a Penalty. However, to make matters worse Patrik Schick’s effort from the box was blasted wide off target. The two sides headed into the break with Portugal leading with a 2-0 advantage.
Early into the second half, Diogo Dalot unleashed a stunning shot from his left foot some 25 yards out, Portugal deservingly took a 3-0 lead. As the half progressed, Portugal inched forward to score more and more goals. Coming on as a substitute, Diogo Jota ended his goal drought with a fine header.
From a corner, Cristiano Ronaldo laid off to Jota with a fine header, which in turn was headed back into an empty net by the Liverpool forward Diogo Jota. Both the managers made a couple of changes to inject fresh legs on the pitch. But a 5-star performance from the visitors helped Portugal rout the hosts.
