India at Tokyo Olympics Games Village: The first batch of athletes and officials of the Indian Contingent have arrived in the Olympic Village. They have given us an inside view of the dining hall.
The Tokyo Olympics are just 6 days ahead and the first batch of the Indian contingent including the Indian Sailors, Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu, the Indian Shooting Team have arrived in Tokyo. The Indian Boxing team had their last practice day in Italy and will depart for Tokyo tonight.
India will be sending its largest contingent ever to the Olympics, with 119 members showcasing their talent at the showpiece event. The Indian athletes will be competing across 18 sports.

Tokyo Olympics – India at Tokyo Olympics: India will be sending a 228-strong contingent to the Tokyo Olympics, including 119 athletes, IOA President Narinder Batra said on Tuesday.
“The total Indian contingent for Tokyo Olympics will be 228. There will be 67 male athletes and 52 female athletes. We are fighting for 85 medal events,” Batra said in the virtual interaction.
