Sunil Narine continues to be the sole silver lining in what has been a dismal campaign for the Kolkata Knight Riders so far. On Saturday, the West Indian once again furnished his legacy as one of the finest all-rounders to have graced the league, making his way to an elite club.

While KKR’s batting collapsed, Narine chipped in with a cameo of 22 runs, the all rounder took his overall tally in the IPL past a 1000 runs. He thus became only the 3rd player to have scored over a 1000 runs and picked up 100 wickets in the league, behind countryman Dwayne Bravo and his CSK teammate Ravindra Jadeja.
