During the first Raw segment, it was evident that Kevin Owens was sick of talking and was ready to fight. He and Sami Zayn got into a fight with Finn Balor, Damian Priest, and Dominik Mysterio because they were tired of The Bloodline and nearly anxious to face Judgement Day’s opponents. The fight concluded with KO battered, but the champions still stood.
Though before their matchup with Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa at WWE Night of Champions 2023, allowing their emotions to get the better and engaging in combat with Judgement Day may not be the best method to maintain their health and energy. Meanwhile, WWE announced a main event between The Judgement Day and WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champions for Monday Night RAW.
WWE Monday Night Raw Results: Shinsuke Nakamura defeats The Miz | Grade: C
There are better ways to introduce Shinsuke Nakamura to the Raw audience than by a rivalry with a cold-blooded Miz, although he feels like more of a deal today than in recent years.
To deliver Kinshasa and retain the momentum on his side, Nakamura defeated Miz on Monday. However, the victory’s decisiveness raises the issue of what The Artist will do next.
WWE Raw Results: Mustafa Ali Wins the Battle Royal to Challenge Gunther at WWE Night of Champions 2023 | Grade: B
Gunther, the intercontinental champion, arrived on Raw and introduced the Battle Royal, deciding who would be the top challenger for his championship at Night of Champions.
Apollo Crews, Matt Riddle, Bronson Reed, Johnny Gargano, Mustafa Ali, Ricochet, and NXT call-ups Von Wagner, JD McDonagh, and Xyon Quinn were notable participants in the event.
A narrative-driven match began with Riddle belittling Imperium at ringside and ending with Ali rewarding his months-long journey to optimism by earning his shot at Gunther’s championship on May 27. Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser also interfered during the match.
WWE Monday Night Raw Results: Becky Lynch vs Trish Stratus at WWE Night of Champions 2023 | Grade: B
Becky Lynch said Trish Stratus reawakened a passion in her that had been dormant for too long at one point in her promo on Monday night. Lynch cut up a fantastic promo with her best from the previous year, so it seemed in more ways than one.
Before revealing that the most prominent star of this generation will face the best women’s wrestler of the golden age in WWE at Night of Champions, The Man warned Stratus of what she had done by betraying her. It is almost frustrating that there wasn’t more time to prepare for such a big contest.
Meanwhile, Rhea Ripley, the SmackDown Women’s Champion, saw Lynch depart the arena before informing Natalya about an impending confrontation.
WWE Raw Results: Dominik Mysterio defeats Xavier Woods | Grade C
Due to some strategic interference from Rhea Ripley at ringside, Dominik Mysterio and Xavier Woods closed the latest chapter in their young feud on Monday night. The loathed villain now leads the future Hall of Famer 2-0.
Dom winning this match further proves that the group is just as vital to the business divided as it is when it is all together and extended his hot streak as one of the most despised villains in the history of WWE.
Mysterio is growing in popularity as a singles star, and nobody is better suited to assist him in his learning process or in generating more heat than the never-ending Woods.
WWE Raw Results: Indus Sher register a debut win | Grade B
At the beginning of the segment, Corey Graves apologized to the WWE Universe and admitted he was unaware of the identity of the teenage wrestlers entrusted with Indus Sher’s Veer and Sanga.
He wasn’t required to.
In a fantastic squash bout that inspired former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal to proclaim that Indus Sher would conquer the red brand constantly, the Raw rookies dominated the opposition.
WWE Monday Night Raw Results: Cody Rhodes Responds to Brock Lesnar Night of Champions 2023 Challenge | Grade C
This segment featured Cody Rhodes favoring his ribs, which are expected to be the focus of his bout with Brock Lesnar. Naturally, Rhodes was the one who brought up Starrcade for the first time in the Greensboro Coliseum. Throughout yet another fantastic promo, Cody Rhodes held the audience’s attention.
This was succinct, to the point, and brief. More importantly, supporters could invest in it quickly and with passion. To return to conclude his story, Rhodes must first defeat Lesnar to obtain his vengeance.
It would be even better if he could poke fun at Lesnar’s ego by dispelling the notion that the former world champion is a “big thing” and reducing him to the status of a challenge.
WWE Raw Results: Raquel Rodriguez vs. Chelsea Green; Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler Strike |Grade B
Raquel Rodriguez may have overcome the numbers deficit at ringside when she defeated Chelsea Green despite Sonya Deville’s presence. Still, without Liv Morgan’s support, she ultimately fell victim to a sneak attack by Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler, who Shayna Baszler later joined.
The angle must have been anticipated because the heels won the WrestleMania Showcase match. Rousey and Baszler prevailed over three other teams in that match, including the reigning Women’s Tag Team Champions Rodriguez and Morgan.
WWE Monday Night Raw Results: Seth Rollins address World Heavyweight Title Challenge | Grade: C
Just 12 days before his match against AJ Styles in the World Heavyweight Championship Tournament final, Corey Graves sat down for a sit-down interview with Seth Rollins.
Rollins discussed The Shield’s breakup, the organic nature of his most recent run, and his current relationship with fans. Roman Reigns and the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship were up next, and the discussion ended on a cliffhanger with a hint that part two would be on the show the following week.
This was a well-made video package that, at the very least, offered a diversion from the typical booking patterns before a championship match of the magnitude of the WWE Night of Champions 2023 main event.
WWE Raw Results: Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens Defeats The Judgment Day | Grade B
Even after his outstanding performance against Bad Bunny, poor Damian Priest is still the “setup guy.” Unavoidably, his time will come. The latest opportunity that Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have produced is Imperium. Balor won the match without a title by pinning Zayn as a result.
They were booking Judgement Day, Bloodline, and Imperium as threats and emphasized factions’ resurgence in professional wrestling, another distinctive feature of Triple H’s current booking.
