Defending champions Kolkata Thunderbolts sealed the top spot in the points table. They won their last league game against Ahmedabad Defenders on Thursday to end the league stage as the table-toppers. They will now face Bengaluru Torpedoes for a spot in the final. The Thunderbolts lost only a solitary game in the lkeague stage and are in terrific form.
Bengaluru Torpedoes meanwhile managed to seal a place in the semifinal by finishing at the fourth spot in the league stage. They finished on level with Hyderabad Blackhawks by clinching eight points. However a lesser set point difference helped them to make it to the last-four.
