Hyderbad got ahead as soon as the game started as John Joseph took charge initially. He was well-supported by Hyderabad skipper Guru Prashanth, who built pressure from the service line.
Hemanth, who was adjudged the Man of the match soon burst on to the scene and picked up points with his brilliant attacks. They won the first 15-13.
In the second set, Kochi tried to make a comeback. Erin Varghese was good with his aggressive play. Along with Walter, who supported in defence the Spikers was able to go up and win the set 15-10 to level the contest.
Hyderabad however came back in the contest with Hemanth yet again putting on an impressive show. He rallied his team forward and there was no looking back for the Blackhawks as they picked up a 3-2 win.
