Denmark was not able to reach the finals despite a 2-0 win over France in the UEFA Nations League game. Although France held the numerical advantage throughout the game, their low conversion rates prevented them from registering a goal in the scoreboard.
Denmark started the game on a high note, keeping the French at bay. However, France soon took control over the game. The first chance for the visitor came when Benjamin Pavard’s rebound shot from Griezmann’s strike is parried away. Soon enough Camavinga tries to curl a shot towards the far post, but it goes wide. After a minute, his shot deflects and nearly enters into the goal before sending just wide.

As soon as Denmark regained their stance over the game, the Danish scored two goals in a span of five minutes to end hopes for France. Dolberg opened the scoring in the 32nd minute when Eriksen’s long ball forward across the pitch finds Damsgaard on the left wing. He sends a cross for a sliding Dolberg, who pokes the ball past Areola. Not long after, the lead is extended by Skov Olsen who slots past Areola a corner taken by Eriksen. Areola had to infact produce a string of strong saves in not letting the scoreboard increase the game,
Coming into the second half France looked like being with rejuvenated spirits as Mbapped kept hurling attack at Denmark, keeping custodian Schmeicel on his foot. Kylian Mbappe made quite some impressive tries, however fell short to it. However with Croatia winning against Austria, Denmark’s 2-0 dfeaft falls short for the Danish to advance to the finals of the tournament.
