Delighted to join the squad“Hey guys, first training session done with SRH, had to run a bit of isolation out of the legs, did a bit of running session and a few sprints and got the back moving. Then a bit of longer warm up in the nets with Dale and other bowlers. Obviously getting to know everyone and it’s pretty important to build good connections with everyone in the squad and even the guys who given up their time to come bowl at us in the nets, the support staff. Had a bit of bowl, worked out a few things, ironed out a few kinks,” Abbott said while he spoke to the SRH social media handle.

“Had a little bit of light catch, nothing to strenuous just yet but a light catch in the field and tried to smash few out of the net. Guys bowled pretty well in the nets. All in all a good first day with SRH,” the Aussie added.

Poor start to the campaign – Sunrisers started on a poor note as they lost their opening three matches, but since have recovered well to win two on a bounce. SRH led by Kane Williamson will now be eager to add yet another win to their ranks, as they try to overturn their season. They beat Chennai Super Kings (SRH) and then followed that with a win against Gujarat titans (GT).

Who will Abbott replace? –While Abbott is in contention for the upcoming match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), it remains to be seen who he replaces. Captain Kane Williamson will have a choice to make in the upcoming contest as the likes of Marco Jansen, Nicholas Pooran remain untouchables. Aiden Markram will be another player where Tom Moody and management will have to think before they take the final decision to bring in Sean Abbott.
