Sri Lanka’s Avishka Fernando has been making all the headlines in the Lanka Premier League. He slammed 249 runs including a century in the Qualifier 2 to guide Jaffna Kings into the LPL 2021 Final. He has garnered all the attention throughout the tournament with the ability to hit the ball at will with a brilliant strike rate of 152. He has already slammed as many as 17 sixes.
Phillip Salt
England’s Phillip Salt has emerged as the highest run-getter in the LPL. He breached 300 runs mark in just 10 appearances which feature a couple of fifties. He has played 121 T20s and amassed 2766 runs which include 20 half-centuries.
Kusal Mendis
Another star Sri Lanka batsman Kusal Mendis has also scored 288 runs from 9 innings at a strike rate of 150 which features a couple of fifties. Overall, he has amassed 175 runs from 69 T20s with the help of 14 fifties.
Dinesh Chandimal
Sri Lanka star batter Dinesh Chandimal has been phenomenal in the LPL 2021. He struck 277 runs in 9 matches at an average of 46 and a brilliant strike rate of 150. He has amorous experience of playing T20s. He has scored 3674 runs from 155 T20s which includes a century and 25 half-centuries.
Maheesh Theekshana
Mystery spinner Maheesh Theekshana who had impressed in the T20 World Cup has continued his brilliant performance in LPL 2021. He took 15 wickets from 9 matches at a brilliant economy rate of 6.2. He also took a 4-wicket haul in the top-flight T20 tournament. Overall, Theekshana has taken 45 wickets in 42 T20s with a brilliant economy rate of 5.76.
