Notably, he is now the seventh Indian batter with a T20I hundred to his name. As stated, Gill is the seventh Indian to slam a T20I hundred. He joins Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, KL Rahul, Deepak Hooda, Virat Kohli, and Suresh Raina. He also became the fifth Indian batter to score centuries across all three formats of the game.
With this century, Gill has also improved his T20I numbers significantly, he has now stroked 202 runs at an average of 40.40 and he is playing at an excellent strike rate of 165.57.

With the help of century from Gill and some excellent attacking intent by other batters, the Men in Blue also stroked their highest score in the 20-over format. Team India has been blooming in the T20 format since Hardik Pandya has taken over the captaincy role. He is yet to lose a series under his leadership. Meanwhile, the home side will look to continue its winning streak in the home conditions.
