Yadav in all likelihood will play in the crucial number four position against England. He performed well in the two warm-up games and scored runs at a strike rate of 150. The right-hand batter also has had a terrific start to his international career as he has scored 366 runs in 16 T20Is at a strike rate of 167.89. Yadav can attack from word go and also play the sheet anchor’s role to perfection.
Shreyas Iyer failed to impress against South Africa. It was a golden opportunity missed by the 27-year-old. He failed to score a fifty in four matches and struck runs at a lowish strike rate of 130. Iyer though has been backed by the management against England. This will be an acid test for him and he will look for some big runs.

Deepak Hooda thrived against Ireland as the makeshift opener of the team. He scored 100 and 48 and displayed a fearless brand of cricket. The all-rounder also performed well in the warm-up games against England. But with Rohit Sharma back in the team, Hooda will most probably slot in at number five in the 1st T20I against England.
