Rohit Sharma slammed a stunning unbeaten 46 to help India clinch a six-wicket win in Nagpur. With India already trailing in the series, the skipper put on a show for the Nagpur crowd after the match was curtailed due to a wet outfield.

The Hit-Man went on a boundary-hitting spree, smashing four boundaries and four sixes en route his match-winning knock. The India captain set the tone early with a couple of maximums of Josh Hazlewood and continued to do so even as wickets fell at the other end. Eventually, Sharma managed 50% of India’s target in just 20 deliveries, setting up a series decider in Hyderabad.
As India registered a thrilling six-wicket win over Australia in the second match of the three-match series, captain Rohit Sharma, who was adjudged as Player of the Match, said he was too surprised by his power-hitting form in the game.

Speaking after the game, Rohit Sharma himself admitted that he was surprised by some of the shots he played. He said, “I was quite surprised as well actually. Didn’t expect to hit it like that, glad it came off. For the last 8-9 months I have been playing like that. You can’t really plan too much in such a shortened game.”
