India’s young all-rounder Irfan Pathan stunned Pakistan by taking a remarkable hat-trick in the decisive third Test match in 2006.

However, from the wreckage of the early collapse, did not end the hopes for Pakistan as Akmal embarked on a brilliant counterattacking innings, scoring an impressive 113 runs. His innings resulted in Pakistan’s triumph by 341 runs in Karachi.

The brilliance of Akmal’s performance was complemented by crucial contributions from Abdul Razzaq (45) and Shoaib Akhtar (45), who played impactful cameos. Their collective efforts not only stabilized Pakistan’s innings but propelled them to a competitive position.
