Lakshya Sen vs Ng Tze Yong

Lakshya Sen has made a terrific start to his Indonesia Masters campaign. The ninth seed faced World No.7 Kodai Naraoka in the opening match. Naraoka has been in good form in recent times, He recently finished as runner-up at Malaysia Open 2023. However Lakshya completely dominated against the Japanese as he raced to a 21-12, 21-11 victory.

The Indian will next take on Malaysia’s Ng Tze Yong in the second round. The unseeded Malaysian defeated Hans Kristian Vittinghus in straight sets 21-7, 21-14 in the first round.

Saina Nehwal vs Han Yue

Saina Nehwal will face a tough challenge against eighth seeded Han Yue in the second round of the tournament. Saina Nehwal clinched a victory in three games in the first round against Chinese Taipei’s Pai Yu Po. The Indian is aiming to make it to the quarterfinals for the first time this year in the BWF Tour.

It will however be a challenge as earlier in the Malaysian Open, both the players met in the first round. Saina lost the contest in three sets 12-21, 21-17, 12-21. Han Yue meanwhile enters the contest after clinching a straight game victory against her compatriot Zhang Yi Man. She is the favourite against Saina.
