Earlier, both women were booked for a 6-pack challenge for the contender’s match for the Raw Women’s title. However, WWE changed the main event after Sasha Banks and Naomi left the building, putting away their tag team titles. Eventually, WWE booked Becky Lynch and Asuka for the main event and released an official statement on its WWE’s website.

According to Fightful Select, WWE had other plans for the Sasha Banks and Naomi for Hell in the Cell Premium Live Event. WWE creative team wanted Naomi to challenge to win the six-pack challenge challenging the Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair. On the contrary, WWE wanted Sasha Banks to challenge Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Title, respectively.
Eventually, both women wanted to move ahead in the women’s tag team division but WWE cut off all the plans. Earlier, it was also pitched to have Nikki A.S.H and Doudrop interrupting the women’s tag team match between Sasha Banks and Naomi against Shayna Baszler and Natalya. It was pitched to have a new storyline heading for the tag team titles for the Hell in the Cell PLE.

At WrestleMania 38, Sasha Banks and Naomi won the women’s tag team titles. Although they won the match, WWE did not give them a proper storyline since WrestleMania to defend their titles. A fan, who is followed by Naomi tweeted a long statement regarding the situation dealt with by both women.
However, Sasha Banks and Naomi haven’t responded officially. The tension between WWE’s creative team and tag team champs isn’t clarified yet. WWE Universe watched Banks and Naomi defending their title thrice on Raw and SmackDown but they actually didn’t have any storyline pitching a new angle for a rivalry.
