Grigor Dimitrov accepted a wildcard entry into this tournament an he is the top seed at Winston-Salem Open. He leads the top quarter of the draws and has received a bye to the second round. He will face either former US Open Champion Dominic Thiem or JJ Wold in the second round.
Meanwhile, 11th seed and defending champion Ilya Ivashka is also in this quarter and he has received a bye to the second round.
