She has received a bye to the second round and will face the winner between Elena Rybakina and Garbine Muguruza in the second round. The next seeded player in this quarter is Coco Gauff. Gauff is the sixth seed in this tournament and begins her campaign by facing compatriot Robin Montgomery in the first round. Meanwhile Bianca Andreescu and Ludmilla Samsonova are also in this quarter and face each other in the first round.

Jessica Pegula leads second quarter

Jessica Pegula is the fourth seed in the tournament and the American has received a bye to the second round of the tournament. She will face either Coco Vandeweghe or Sofia Kenin in the second round.
