Chakda Xpress is an upcoming movie based on legendary cricketer Jhulan Goswami. Last month, Anushka shared a glimpse of her bowling routine and captioned Grip by grip.”
Earlier, a trailer of the Chakda Xpress was shared by Anushka Sharma wherein she was seen donning the blue jersey. The actor also nailed her dialogues well and looked assured as Goswami. The biopic will chronicle the journey of women’s cricket’s leading fast bowler, her struggles and sacrifices in making it to the Indian team.

“It is a really special film because it is essentially a story of tremendous sacrifice. Chakda Xpress is inspired by the life and times of former Indian captain Jhulan Goswami and it will be an eye-opener into the world of women’s cricket,” Anushka said.
It will also highlight women’s cricket back in the late 90s and early 2000s when the cricketers did not have a central contract, nor any support from the fans and followers. The movie is produced by Anushka Sharma and is directed by Prosit Roy.
