The Black Hawks started the contest with an early lead. Ahmedabad Defenders led by Muthuswamy however found ways to claw their way back in the contest and successfully sealed the opening set 15-13.
The Black Hawks came back strong in the next set. They startedto dominate as the strong Defenders unit had no clue against some goos spikes from Sujan and Guru Prasadh as they rallied past their opponents to win the second set 15-9 and levelled the contest.

The Hyderabad however started building the pressure as John Joseph EJ showcased his attacking powers. At 11-11, the Ahmedabad managed to convert the super point opportunity to take the lead.
Hyderbad soon won the super point to level the scores 13-13. In a nail-biting contest, with the scores at 14-14, A faulty serve from Ahmedabad’s Danial Moatazedi helped the Blackhawks take 2-1 lead in the contest.
Hyderabad continued to lead in the fourth set. With good performance from Ashamatullah in the set, they dented the Defenders’ hopes of a comeback and won the set 15-11 to seal the contest in their favour. The customary fifth set was also won by the Blackhawks 15-10 as they sealed a 4-1 win in dominating fashion.
