Amidst the rising debate over Twitch currently trending “TV Shows” meta, streamers joining this meta were rolling the dice until the popular streamer Pokimane fell prey to it. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys was streaming the watch-through of animated series Avatar:The last Airbender on the purple platform, when she was banned halfway through her 10 hours stream. Amouranth Twitch tv show meta, Pokimane ban, Twitch tv show Pokimane, Disguised Toast Pokimane ban, DMCA Twitch Pokimane ban, Pokimane Banned
YouTuber Ludwig as well as other streamers and viewers had already raised an alarm regarding the DMCA strikes that streamers like Mizkif, xQc could face for broadcasting these copyright contents. Instead, they turned a deaf ear and carried on with the meta. With the ban on Pokimane, it’s clear that DMCA gossip was for real.
This has been seen gathering pace by the end of 2021, with popular stream xQc leading the meta. Other well-known streamers such as HasanAbi, Disguised Toast are also watching TV shows and broadcasting them live. Cooking shows like MasterChef and Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmare are quite popular among streamers.

People were eager to know why Amouranth was missing from Twitch’s currently trending “TV shows” meta. Amouranth stated the reason behind not joining in, when she was questioned by YouTuber Ludwig about the same. She replied, “You see, I feel like while people who have contracts with Twitch and stuff or favored heavily by Twitch can get away with that, it’s too risky for me to do it”. This surprised Ludwig who thought otherwise.
This was the first time Pokimane had joined this trend, and had thought she would get away with it as others are escaping it too. Maybe Twitch sensation Amouranth was fearful of these exact consequences and was smart enough to not join this meta. She could foresee this coming. Or could there be a “gender thing” playing out here as pointed out by Disguised Toast.
Whatever might be the reason, as rightly pointed out, this was a risky terrain to walk through. The community is waiting to see which all streamers withdraw themselves from this trend, hereafter.
