Legends Cricket League: The organizers of the Legends Cricket League have confirmed the signing of legendary West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle. The announcement was confirmed on Friday. One of the game’s most destructive batters going around, Gayle is the first batter to score 10000 runs in T20 cricket. Now, he is set to take the second season of LCL by storm. “It gives me immense pleasure and excitement to be part of this prestigious league and to play with the iconic legends of the game. India, see you at the venues,” said Gayle in an official statement.

Legends Cricket League: Chris Gayle ready to show the world his six-hitting prowess

  • Universe Boss as he is fondly called truly bossed the T20 format and holds the record of hitting most sixes.
  • With he joining the second season of LCL, the second edition will witness some fireworks.

Legends Cricket League: Season two to have four teams instead of three – Season two of LCL will have four teams instead of three in the inaugural edition. The tournament will be played across six cities in India. Kolkata, Lucknow, Delhi, Jodhpur, Cuttack, and Rajkot will be hosting the matches. LCL is being planned to be started from September 17 to October 8, 2022.

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly will also play a special match in LCL season two. The former India captain made an announcement for the same on Instagram earlier.
