It was a clinical win for the Nizams as they regain their position at the summit in the points table. Bartholomew Ogbeche scored a brilliant brace whereas Joao Victor also bagged goal. The Gaurs saw Jorge Ortiz and Devendra Murgaonkar pull the game back but it was simply not enough for them.

Hyderabad FC head coach Manolo Marquez highlighted how he is happy wit the win at this stage of the season but he is not impressed with how his team played the game. Reflecting on their performance, Manolo stated, “In the last games now the important thing is the victory because if we spoke about other things I’m not happy with our game. We defended very badly. Maybe we know that they have very good players, but I think that we defend the worst in the championship. But of course, I repeat in this moment the important thing are the three points and continue fighting for the top four which is close, but still three games with very good opponents now.”

Being a realist, Manolo Marquez pointed out how Hyderabad FC are not really at the top of the table with some teams having games in hand and the capability to dethrone. The Spaniard is ow focusing on getting a top four spot for the first time in Hyderabad FC’s club history.

“I know that we are on top but it’s not the real table because when COVID cancelled some games and the championship has 11 teams then there is one team who rests every round and we have one game more than some teams, one game less than another then of course we are on top. We are very happy. I think that the season is fantastic for Hyderabad FC and now we need to finish the competition in the top four. At this moment, the goal is to finish in the top four for the first time in the history of Hyderabad FC,” Manolo asserted.

Bartholomew Ogbeche scored a brilliant brace against FC Goa as he took Hyderabad FC back to the top spot with another hard-fought win. His goals allowed him to reach the landmark of 50 goals. He has now gone a step ahead of Bengaluru FC talisman Sunil Chhetri by scoring 51 goals.

Speaking on his main man upfront, Manolo Marquez feels that the Nigerian is sensational but he adds how the entire Hyderabad FC unit have played really well this season. “Yes, he scored two goals today,” Manolo replied. “I think he’s a very good striker for our team. I think that okay, maybe today I am negative when I am speaking but, I think that all the team from Kattimani to the last player, are playing at a very very high level, if not it would be impossible to be on top when you are finishing the competition.”
