Following KL Rahul’s decision to transfer to the Lucknow Super Giants, Agarwal was promoted to captain for the 2022 season. In addition to PBKS’ difficulties, Mayank’s performance declined during the IPL season earlier this year, when he scored 196 runs at an average of 16.33.
