The timely knock comes weeks ahead of IPL 2022 mega auction slated to take place on February 12-13. The innings also helped West Indies take a 2-1 lead in the T20 series against England at home.

- Rovman Powell is in brilliant form in the T20Is. He had earlier smashed an unbeaten 82 while playing for Jamaica vs Ireland. He had also taken 3 wickets in the match.
- The 28-year-old comes with rich experience of 105 T20s with 1731 runs which features a century & 6 fifties. He has also scalped 21 wickets in the format.
- A middle-order batsman who bowls occasional medium pace, Powell has been semiregular for West Indies in ODIs.
- With the addition of two teams Lucknow Super Giants & Ahmedabad, Rovman Powell could be picked for his attacking brand of cricket.
- He has been part of KKR in the 2017 edition but did not feature in an IPL fixture. He will look for another contract and IPL debut.
