India move away form Pakistan–

After the 2-1 series win against England, India have attended 109 rating points to their name, which takes them away form Pakistan. Earlier both teams were locked on 106 rating points, but the win saw India move away from their arch-rivals.

On the flip side, England missed golden opportunity to close the gap on first placed New Zealand in the ICC ODI standings. England are on 121 Rating points which sees them occupy the second spot, a win in the series could have seen them solidify their position in the second place

India take on West Indies in 3-match ODI series-

  • India will play West Indies in a three-match ODI series and looking at the form of the hosts, India will fancy their chances.
  • However, even if India win the series 3-0, India will only add 1 rating point and will consolidate the third spot.
  • The next two weeks will be significant for the ICC ODI standings, as second-placed England are also in action against South Africa.
  • If England win the series, England can close the gap with New Zealand.
  • India will also tour Zimbabwe for a three-match ODI series and will have a chance to close the gap with England for the 2nd spot.

  • New Zealand won the ODI series against Ireland 3-0, and all three wins were close affairs.
  • The win saw New Zealand solidify their position at the summit.
  • Bangladesh also won 3-0 against West Indies recently and they have moved seventh in the standings while Pakistan are fourth.
  • Australia and South Africa occupy fifth and sixth spot respectively in the ICC rankings.
  • West Indies and Afghanistan complete the Top 10 standings.
