The well-known Persona video game series might soon receive a live-action television series adaptation, according to recent reports. According to rumors, Netflix is working on a television series adaptation of the popular role-playing games series; however, this report has not yet been confirmed by Netflix itself.
Should the report be true, then this will be the very first live-action adaptation of the Persona series, which is currently one of the most successful RPG series created by Atlus and released by Sega.

There are even some industry insiders who have claimed that a seasoned production crew is already on board for the series.
Christopher Monfette, who has previously worked on Star Trek: Picard, is reportedly going to take up the positions of the writer, showrunner, and executive producer of the TV show.
The rumor also mentions that Shawn Levy and Robert Atwood of 21 Laps Entertainment, the studio responsible for making Stranger Things, are working on the series. Another team, Story Kitchen, has reportedly also joined the production process along with Toru Nakahara of Sega, who is responsible for producing the Sonic the Hedgehog movie series.

Fans Have Mixed Reactions
The reports have sparked excitement among Persona fans, but they have also raised some concerns.
The Persona series has always been about mixing Japanese school experiences, social interactions, and fashionable turn-based fighting along with storytelling. Fans of the game are worried about losing the uniqueness of the series because the culture is very important in this game.
Moreover, it is not clear which Persona game would be adapted into live-action. While some players want to see Persona 5 live action, others think that Persona 3 will be chosen or even a new story.
