Dhoni got rid of Shubman Gill, who was looking dangerous after getting a reprieve from Deepak Chahar on 3. The CSK skipper got rid of the Gujarat Titans’ opener with a blink-and-miss stumping in Ravindra Jadeja’s over. The stumping gave a glimpse of vintage wicket-keeper Dhoni.
It happened in the 7th over. Jadeja bowled a flatter and quicker delivery on the full length which drew Gill forward. However, the sharp turn took it past the outside edge and Dhoni whipped the bails off in a flash. The stumping also turned out to be Dhoni’s 300 T20 dismissals in his 250th IPL game.
