PSL is going through a lot of crisis currently. Some of the international stars have backed out due to IPL, and some are not willing to come due to injuries. The PCB has already announced that the PSL would only be held in two locations across Pakistan, behind closed doors only.
PSL in further trouble
Late on Sunday, another bad new came for the league. As per Cricbuzz, the Bangladeshi minister for sports, Aminul Haque said that Bangladeshi cricketers won’t take part in the league if there is a security concern. They are in touch with the PCB for the same.
“Definitely our cricketers are not going if there is a security concern (in PSL),” Aminul told this website on Sunday. “First BCB has to inform us about it (security concern) and afterwards we will take an official decision based upon our observation (following scrutiny from national agencies),” he said.
Waiting for clearance from BCB..
“If the BCB ensures us that there is no problem if our cricketers go there, in that case we don’t have any problem. They (BCB) have to ensure what the players want because we don’t want to discourage sports and we want everyone to play from their respective places,” he added.
“The BCB should consult us about security purposes and everything, and if they can ensure that (everything is fine), in that case we can proceed,” he said. Meanwhile, six Bangladeshi players are due to take part in PSL — Mustafizur Rahman, Parvez Hossain Emon (Lahore Qalandars), Shoriful Islam, Nahid Rana, Tanzid Hasan Tamim (Peshawar Zalmi), and Rishad Hossain (Peshawar Zalmi).
