Yash Dayal to play in UPT20 League

Dayal, who tasted great success for RCB in 2024, and 2025, could not do it for his franchise in the edition gone by, with things not under his control. While there were speculations all around regarding his absence, he clarified on a podcast with Talk with Manvendra, that the decision to stay away from IPL 2026 was taken by the authorities, and not by him. And to watch RCB games from the TV set was even more challenging.

Obviously, if you are sitting outside. When I watch them on television, sometimes I just got up. But then it is my team, and they haven’t removed me. They kept me on the retain list and didn’t get me a replacement. They probably think that I am an important part,” Dayal had said.

The other thing is that my opting out of this season wasn’t my personal decision. The statement could be controversial, but the decision is always made by the authority. I don’t know what was the reason was behind RCB’s decision. I miss them a lot. I don’t know if the team misses me, the fans will say that,” Dayal added.

Set to get NOC from UPCA

Meanwhile, UPCA secretary Prem Manohar Gupta that Yash Dayal would be given an NOC for domestic and league cricket. “UPCA will give an NOC to Yash Dayal for playing domestic and league cricket because all legal proceedings have been settled,” Gupta said. For the unversed, the pacer had been kept away from cricketing action, since he faces legal charges relating to sexual assault. Nothing has been proven till now.
