Channel 4 to make Andrew Tate documentary

A 60-minute documentary about the 36-year-old Tate’s rise to fame will be released, Channel 4 announced on Monday (30 January). Maggie Gaudin, who also helmed the Michael Jackson biopic Leaving Neverland, will be directing the documentary. Dan Reed will serve as executive producer. According to Channel 4, the untitled documentary would seek out individuals from Tate’s personal life, capture a “vast film” of him over the past ten years, and interview his crowds of admirers.

Tate, who moved to Romania in 2017, was previously barred from using several well-known social media sites for posting hate speech and having misogynistic beliefs. He has 4.8 million followers on Twitter, where he was recently allowed back in.

“We’re attempting to figure out how Andrew Tate became the most viral influencer on the planet and what factors and experiences molded Tate the guy (instead of the controversy-seeking media icon),” Reed added. “If Tate is released from prison in the upcoming weeks, we look forward to continuing to shoot because he has granted us complete access.”

To contest a second 30-day extension of his confinement in a Romanian prison, Andrew Tate made an appearance in court On February 1, 2023.
