McGregor has missed the six-month USADA deadline, making it doubtful that he will take the ring on December 16th in the UFC’s expected final PPV (pay-per-view) event of the year.
Although USADA might exempt the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion from the six-month waiting period and allow him to return, it hasn’t done so as of yet. Therefore, it is generally agreed that McGregor’s comeback would happen no earlier than 2024.
Fans are clutching their shamrocks in anticipation of ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor’s comeback after a wave of miscalculations and USADA roadblocks. The original UFC plans to match him up with Michael Chandler immediately following The Ultimate Fighter 31 appear to have failed. There hasn’t been any mention of the McGregor vs. Chandler battle despite the fact that four episodes of TUF 31 have already aired.
