Thailand Open LIVE: Lakshya Sen has had a terrific run at the Thailand Open 2023 so far. He will next face Second seeded Kunlavut Vitidsarn in the semifinal

Lakshya Sen began the contest with an attacking intent straightaway as he got the first point with a smash straight down the line. He continued to maintain his lead and entered the mid-game interval in the first game with a 11-6 lead.

Lakshya Sen went on to dominate the contest and won the first game comfortably 21-13. In the second game tto Lakshya led initially. However cheered by the home crowd, Vitidsarn mounted a comeback and entered the interval with a slender 11-10 lead.

Neck-to-neck battle ensued between both the players. Lakshya Sen managed to go ahead with a 14-13 lead. However, Vitidsarn with three successive points went ahead with 16-14 lead. Lakshya Sen yet again levelled the scores 17-17.

Vitidsarn soon hit a cross-court smash to take back the lead. He won the next three successive points and won the second game. In the decider too there was avery little margin between both the players at the start. Lakshya Sen was trailing 5-6. He however raced ahead with five straight points to go up 10-6.

Vitidsarn didn’t let the Indian enter the interval easily as he came back with four points on the trot and levelled the scores 10-10. However Lakshya managed to get the next point to enter the mid-game interval with a slender lead.

After the change of ends, Vitidsarn completelty dominated the contest. He conceded just two more points to Lakshya Sen as he extended his lead and won the game 21-13 to book spot in the final.
