Sathish Kumar Karunakaran beat Ayush Shetty in the finals of the Odisha Masters to clinch the title. Sathish played out a contested set of 21-18, 19-21 and 14-21 in the finals. While in the mixed doubles, Dhruv Kapila-Tanisha Crasto won 2-1 over Hee Yong Kai and Tan Wei Han despite falling back in the first set.

Dhruv Kapila-Tanisha Crasto impresses in Odisha Masters Finals
Indian duo Tanisha Crasto and Dhruv Kapila faced Singapore’s Hee Yong Kai Terry and Tan Wei Han Jessica in the first final of the day. Despite the Indian pair starting aggressively, the Singaporean opponents fought back, leading 11-9 at the interval. Although Tanisha and Dhruv levelled the score at 16-16, the Singaporean pair quickly regained the lead, winning the first game 21-17.
In the second game, the Indian duo took an 11-9 lead at the interval, eventually winning 21-19 and forcing a decider. In the decisive game, Tanisha and Dhruv continued their momentum, eventually winning 23-21 and securing the Mixed Doubles title.
Other results in Odisha Masters Finals
Moving to the Women’s Doubles final, the Indian pair of Ashwini Ponnappa and Tanisha Crasto faced the Indonesian duo of Meilysa Trias Puspitasari and Rachel Allessya Rose. Despite a strong start from the Indian team, they couldn’t maintain their momentum, losing the first game 21-14.
In the second game, the Indonesian pair took an early lead, and although the Indian duo tried to rally back, they ultimately lost 21-17, resulting in the Indonesian pair claiming the title.
In the Men’s Singles Final, Satish Kumar Karunakaran emerged victorious by defeating Ayush Shetty 21-18, 19-21, and 21-14. Satish had a successful season leading up to the tournament, securing the Men’s Singles title at India International and finishing as a runner-up at Maldives International.
The Men’s Doubles Final saw Lin Bing-Wei and Su Ching Heng from Chinese Taipei beating Krishna Prasad Garaga and Sai Pratheek K with a score of 22-20, 18-21, and 21-17. Meanwhile, in the Women’s Singles Final, former World No 1 Nozomi Okuhara made a remarkable comeback, defeating Hong Kong China’s Lo Sin Yan Happy with a score of 21-7, 21-23, and 22-20 to claim the title.
