But on Tuesday, the Indian star cleared the air himself and confirmed his participation in the men’s javelin throw, scheduled at Lausanne on August 26. Neeraj took to Twitter and declared himself fit to compete in the Lausanne Diamond League. He posted a photo with a smile one his face. He captioned it ‘Feeling strong and ready for Friday. Thanks for the support, everyone.

It also means that the athlete has recovered from his groin injury. He did not feature in the CWG 2022 and the last Diamond League meet due to the same reason. With it, Neeraj Chopra also marks his return to competition since the world championship silver and after missing the CWG 2022 in Birmingham due to injury as well.
The confusion stemmed from his name being there on the list of athletes, who will feature in Lausanne. Though the official list included his name, there was doubts regarding the participation.
All eyes on Lausanne Diamond League: As usual, the competition in the Diamond League is going be second to none. With it being his comeback event, Chopra will face competition from big names, including Jakub Vadlejch of the Czech Republic and Trinidad & Tobago’s Keshorn Walcott at the Stade Olympique de la Pontaise.
It is important to note that World Champion Anderson Peters is not going to compete in the event. That does not mean the competition is going to be any easy. Chopra is aware of the threat Jakub and Keshorn brings to the table. It is also going to be a test of his fitness.
