WWE News: Latest update on Johnny Gargano’s WWE contract- Former NXT Champion Johnny Gargano who’s WWE contract was set to revoke on December 3, has been stretched for a week. Now, his contract will get over on December 10. He has inked a one-week extension on his current deal, and he might stay within the company for much longer than a week.
As per Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, Gargano is on WWE’s radar as the company doesn’t want him to go. Here’s what Meltzer said,
“Gargano, his contract is up until December 3rd. He signed a one-week extension to December 10th so he could do the WarGames show and finish up the storyline. It is not 100 percent [that] he is leaving by any means. He is considering his options but obviously, he has not signed a contract. They did not offer him a 7-day contract.”

He further added, “They want him to sign a multi-year contract & he has not done that, and the fact that he has not tells you that he is certainly exploring all options. There’s a lot to think about from his perspective. It’s not as open and shut as some people because to me Adam Cole was open and shut. There was only one decision for Adam Cole to make…Gargano, there’s probably two decisions, and I don’t know which way he is going. If he was leaning strongly towards staying, they probably would have talked him into singing, and that has not happened. It’s up in the air.”
WWE News: Will Gargano opt for any other promotion?
All-Elite Wrestling (AEW) has been targeting high-stature pro-wrestlers who face the axe from WWE. If Gargano’s contract situation isn’t materialized by WWE, he could end up inking a deal with AEW.
Well, this is something only time will tell, but as of now, Johnny Gargano is gearing up for NXT 2.0 WarGames, where he will team up with the likes of LA Knight, Pete Dunne, and NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa. The quartet will take on the team of Tony D’Angelo, Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, and Grayson Waller in a brutal WarGames match on December 5.
