Beth Phoenix is a former Women’s Champion and a WWE Hall of Famer. For weeks Beth was speculated to make her entry in the ongoing storyline between The Miz and Edge, but little did anyone expect her to thrill the crowd with her appearance at the WWE Day 1 PPV event.

Beth made her appearance when Maryse intervened in the match between Miz & Edge and was helping her husband Miz. Beth came out on the ramp stood there for a while, staring at Maryse agitatedly. She followed Maryse around the ringside and made her walk off the ramp. Her act helped Edge hit Miz with a spear and raise his arm in victory.

WWE Day 1 Highlights 2022: What next in Edge and Miz’s storyline?
With Beth Phoenix’s return, it seems like we are heading towards a couple vs. couple battle which was in the making ever since Maryse made her presence felt in this feud. The way Miz lost his match against Edge tonight, one can assume that the A-Lister will definitely demand a rematch.

Therefore, we could have a Couple vs. Couple between Miz-Maryse and Edge-Beth Phoenix set up at Wrestlemania 38 in Dallas. However, it would be interesting whether or not this rivalry would shape up at the WWE Day 1 fallout edition of Monday Night Raw.
