Khabib Nurmagomedov praises his brother Umar Nurmagomedov: Khabib Nurmagomedov, after his retirement from UFC following his father’s death vacated his title after a dominant win over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254.
The Eagle stands undefeated in his professional MMA record and has the highest title defenses in the lightweight division.
The Eagle continues his legacy in UFC after his retirement through his friend and training partner, Islam Makhachev. Khabib has precisely supervised Islam Makhachev’s skills, making him unstoppable with his winning streak in the division.
In his recent appearance with Eagle FC 47 interview, he explained his stand son Umar.
The eagle said, “It’s gonna be Umar. It’s gonna be Umar. He has fight 26th June. I don’t wanna talk about him like too much, you know. Because he have to deserve this. Like Islam did,”
“Now, Umar gonna fight 26th June. He have very good opponent 3-0 in UFC. After that our contract finish we gonna negotiation we gonna make new contract. And I think like after one and a half year, people are gonna talk about him. Like all the media. Just give him a little bit time. He’s still young”
Umar Nurmagomedov, just like Khabib, has an undefeated winning streak with 12-o in his professional MMA career and 2-0 in UFC. Although, Umar is in his initial stage but has high expectations for his rise in UFC.
On the other hand, Islam has become a sensation in the lightweight division with 11 win streak and has challenged former title champion Charles Oliveira for a title fight.
