The teenager went all the way to win the US Open title last year. It was his first Grand Slam win in his career and it also catapulted him to the top spot in the rankings. Carlos Alcaraz last featured in the Paris Masters in 2022. He had to withdraw from the semifinal contest against Holger Rune following an abdomen injury. He subsequently missed the ATP Tour finals. However he was able to finish the year as the World No.1.

He was all set to make his return at the Australian Open. But a right leg injury ruled him out of the Grand Slam event. He has now recovered from it and is all set to make his first appearance in the ATP Tour this year.
