Sunrisers Hyderabad had a day to forget in Pune and in the process broke a major IPL record on Tuesday. The 2016 champions only managed to. score 14 runs in their powerplay and lost three wickets, the lowest ever in the history of the IPL.

Incidentally, it was Rajasthan Royals who previously held the record, with their score of 14/2 back in 2009, but SRH’s effort on Tuesday eclipses theirs.

The 2016 champions never recovered despite the best efforts of Aiden Markram and Washington Sundar, who ensured that the margin of defeat was lessened to 61 runs.
